Bespoke refurbishment

Most Church's shoes are crafted using the Goodyear method, which helps improve water resistance, and allows the shoe to be deconstructed and the sole replaced over and over again while keeping the insole intact during the process, thus increasing your shoes' longevity. Discover Church's refurbishment service provided at the historic Northampton factory.

General conditions

What can be refurbished?

1

All Goodyear welted styles, up to twice per product. This service is unavailable in the case of a Blake stitch or other methods that only allow sole and heel replacement, as we cannot guarantee a perfect outcome. If unsure of your construction, please contact your closest Church's store or our Client Service.

Made to last

What's included in the service?

2

We don't just replace the sole and heel of your shoes. Church's Goodyear manufacturing can be deconstructed and re-soled over and over again. In most cases, each shoe will be stripped back to the upper and insole, meaning that out of the 250 steps required to create a Church's Goodyear shoe, 60 will be completed during refurbishment.

Scheduling details

What are the timeframes and costs?

2

Due to the level of craft involved, the process takes, on average, 6-8 weeks. The exact requirements may vary based on the condition of each part of the shoe. Within Europe, our refurbishment service will be 290£ for Goodyear welted styles and 420£ for Crown collection designs.

How it works

How can I request refurbishment?

4

The refurbishment service can be requested at your closest Church's store, where a specialist will assess the condition of your shoes and, after in-store payment, ship them directly to our Northampton factory. Alternatively, we suggest contacting our Client Service to organise the transfer.

For partial repairs

Can I entrust to third parties?

5

Third-party services may partially repair shoes with non-Goodyear construction. Since using unoriginal lasts may affect the shape of your shoes, Church's won't be able to take responsibility for the outcome nor provide the official service for shoes that unauthorised third parties have previously repaired.
