Chapter 1

Jermyn Street

In collaboration with Cabana Magazine

In the historic heart of London’s gentleman’s style, Church’s Jermyn St. boutique opened its doors to a rare encounter with craftsmanship. Three master artisans from the Northampton factory unveiled the secrets of shoemaking, displaying processes such as leather cutting, hand stitching, and bespoke heel initialling to a group of esteemed guests—including clients, artisanal shoe enthusiasts, and selected talents. The star of the event: the timeless Pembrey penny loafer, Church’s Icon of effortless refinement, revealed in its purest form. Alongside, a curated selection of archival loafer designs from the 1940s and 50s offered an evocative glimpse into the evolution of elegance.
